If you do not want to ride a scooter, you can get a car rental for self-drive or a car rental with a driver in Bali. However, it’s not recommended to self-drive the car to get around the central Ubud area. You must be wondering why.
Please note that the village does not have plenty of car parks, especially in central Ubud, which will make it quite difficult to park your vehicle. Most car parks use the public road, and it is hard to get a single space.
If you do not want to get bothered by parking your vehicle, we recommend hiring a car with a driver. It is your driver’s job to park the car.
In the central area, a car park is next to the royal palace or the Monkey Forest car park. Therefore, after you park the car, you need to go around on foot at central Ubud. My favorite things to see in central Ubud include the Saraswati temple, Royal palace, art market, and Monkey Forest.
