Ubud Tourism & Surrounding Areas

Ubud, as a tourist destination, is very well-known worldwide. Ubud’s attractiveness lies in art, cultural, historical, and natural attractions. The popularity of Ubud as a tourist destination makes Ubud Bali always crowded with tourist visits. Either international travelers or Indonesian tourists.
Most tourists who have a vacation in Ubud Bali will visit a museum, see historical reliefs, or watch traditional Balinese dances such as the Ubud Barong dance. Apart from history, art, and culture, Ubud attractions are also famous for natural tourism, such as Campuhan Ridge Walk, Ayung River rafting, and Elephant Ride.
If you like an adventure in nature, Ubud is one of the best places for Bali nature tourism. In Ubud, there are many adventure tourism providers with international standards, such as Sobek rafting Ubud and Mason Adventure. You can also do cycling tours to rural areas while seeing rice field views around the Ubud area.
Suppose you have been on vacation before in Ubud. In that case, I am sure you want to find an alternative to different natural Ubud attractions or the area nearby Ubud. Of the many natural waterfalls in Bali, the Tegenungan waterfall location is adjacent to Ubud Bali. Therefore, on this sheet, I will write a visitor guide to the Tegenungan waterfall Gianyar, located close to Ubud.

How To Get To Tegenungan Waterfall
The following is a guide for the best way to get around in Bali. At Tegenungan waterfall, there is no public transportation, so you have to get your private vehicle. There are two personal transportation options on the island of Bali, namely motorbikes and cars.
Find Here, ”Guide On Visiting Uluwatu Temple” >>>
Motorbike/Scooter Rental
Riding a scooter is the cheapest transportation option on the island of Bali. Usually, vacationists ride a scooter, and tourists vacation alone or with friends. Please record that you require an international driving license to ride a scooter in Bali. Also, you need to have the experience to ride a scooter and get used to Bali road traffic.
Finding a motorbike rental provider on Bali’s island is very easy, especially if you stay in the tourist area of the southern part of Bali’s island. Such as, Jimbaran, Kuta, Seminyak, Legian, Canggu, Tanjung Benoa, Nusa Dua. All you have to do is use Google to search for motorcycle rental providers in Bali.
For motorbike rental prices on Bali’s island, it depends on the type of motorbike you want to use. The average motorbike rental in Bali costs around IDR 75.000 to IDR 150.000 / 24 hours without fuel. Therefore, before traveling far, remember to fill the scooter tank with petrol.

Bali Car Hire
Finding a self-driving car hire in Bali is not easy because most car rentals in Bali provide car rentals with drivers. However, you can try finding self-drive car hire by utilizing the Google search engine.
If you are not accustomed to Bali roads that are somewhat small, with two ways traffic, I recommend you look for Bali car hire with drivers.
For car rental prices in Bali, it depends on the type of car you want to use. For example, the rental cost for a Toyota Avanza in Bali with a driver is IDR 600,000 / 12 hours, including fuel.
Tegenungan waterfall is very close to the location of the Sukawati art market. At the Sukawati Art market, you can buy a variety of Balinese souvenirs at a low price. If you are good at bargaining, then you will be getting low prices for Balinese souvenirs.

Distance & Travel Time
Suppose you stay in the tourist area of Kuta to reach the location of the Kemenuh waterfall. Therefore, you will take a distance of 32 kilometers, with an estimated 1 hour and 10 minutes of travel time. Of course, the road is in average condition, and there is no road congestion.
If you stay in the Tanjung Benoa tourist area, heading to Tegenungan waterfall is a further distance. You will cover 40 kilometers with a travel time of 1 hour and 10 minutes, and you have to use the toll road to arrive faster.
It’s different if you depart from the tourist area of Ubud Bali. As information, the scope of Ubud is vast, so it is easier for me to use your benchmark to depart from Ubud Monkey Forest. Ubud Monkey Forest to Tegenungan Waterfall will cover 12 kilometers with an estimated travel time of 30 minutes.
The waterfall location is not on the side of the road. To find the place of the Kemenuh waterfall, you need to descend hundreds of stairs from the parking area. After you go down the stairs, you will find the Petanu River.
To descend hundreds of steps is not so tiring. But when you have to return to the vehicle parking lot, you have to climb hundreds of stairs. So, if you are not strong enough to climb stairs, we do not recommend that you not go down the stairs. Even if you don’t go down, you can still see the Tegenungan waterfall view from above. But you still have to pay for the Tegenungan waterfall entrance ticket.

The Attraction of Tegenungan Waterfall

When you reach the vehicle parking area, you will see many small shops selling Bali souvenirs. You will also see simple stalls selling food and drinks. There are fried noodles, snacks, and young coconut at the food stall.
To reach the waterfall location, you have to walk down the stairs from the vehicle parking area. It’s a good idea to wear shoes to make yourself more comfortable when you go down the stairs. From the steps, you can see the view of the waterfall flanked by shady trees. There are several photo locations that you will see as you descend the stairs.
Tegenungan Waterfall height is approximately 15 meters but has quite a lot of water discharge. Waterfall discharge will be massive during the rainy season, which is from December to February. At the base of the fall, you will find a small area like a pond.

Soaking
The pool’s water is quite apparent but not clear and suitable for those who want to take a dip. Changing room facilities are also available, so you don’t have to worry if you’re going to soak. Also, some lifeguards always pay attention to tourists while bathing. During the Bali rainy season, it is advised that you do not try to swim because the water discharge is substantial and the water is not too clear.
If you don’t want to soak, you can sit back and relax at the bottom of the waterfall while enjoying the view. Besides being able to see the waterfall scene, you can also see temples and water fountains that originate from natural springs at the location of this waterfall.
